BDRWASH Project ( Bangladesh Rural Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Human Capital Development Project)

The UN's '2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a detailed action plan for human society, the world, and development. Bangladesh is giving importance to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by meeting the set goals. Among the SDG targets, SDG 6: Ensuring the sustainable management and availability of Clean water and sanitation for all is gaining particular importance, as public health is an important issue for the Bangladesh government in eradicating poverty. There are two main goals under SDG 6:

  • Achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable (affordable) drinking water for all by 2030.
  •  Ensure access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygienic lifestyles for all by 2030 and
  • End open defecation with special attention to the needs of vulnerable populations including women and girls.

Project Duration: 2021-2025 (4 years)

Area of work of the organization:

10 branches in Surbanchar Upazila of Noakhali Sadar, 4 in Companyganj Upazila, 2 in Kabir Hat, 3 in Begumganj,2 in  Hatia,1 in  Senbagh,2 in Chatkhil, 2 in Sonaimuri, 4 in  Noakhali Sadar and 2 branches in Sadar Upazila of Feni District, 1 in Chagalnaya Upazila,2 in   Sonagazi,1 in  Fulgazi branches and 3 branches in Sadar Upazila of Laxmipur, 3 branches in Raipur Upazila and 1 in Ramganj Upazila 1 in Kamalnagar and 2 in Ramgati,1 in Manoharganj in Comilla District,  1in Laksam, 1 in  Lalmai, 2 in Nangalkot,2 in Barura, 2 in Chauddagram, 1 in Sandwip in Chittagong District and 1 in Mirsarai Upazila Total Bd Rural WASH for HCD program of the organization is being conducted in 56 branches of the organization.
